Department of Children and Families Visits Home of Tiger Woods

According to reports on Radar Online, The Florida Department of Children and Families paid a visit to Tiger Wood’s home Sunday. The Sheriff’s Department accompanied DCF to the golfer’s home. Captain Angelo Nieves confirmed that “our deputies met with members of the Department of Children and Families. But all details are being kept secret.” According to Entertainment Tonight, it is commonplace for the police to escort the Department of Children and Families.

News of this visit followed a statement by Woods’ on Friday. He announced, “I am deeply aware of the disappointment and hurt that my infidelity has caused to so many people, most of all my wife and children. I want to say again to everyone that I am profoundly sorry and that I ask forgiveness. It may not be possible to repair the damage I’ve done, but I want to do my best to try.” He then stated that he would be taking a hiatus from professional golf.

We expect that Woods and Nordegren are putting the children first during this tough time. There are no details regarding the Department of Children and Families visit, but we hope that the department is reaching out to help the Woods’ family and offer advice during this difficult time.
