A Bris for Baby Aguilera

Christina Aguilera, 27, and husband Jordan Bratman, 30, introduced their newborn son Max into Judaism with a traditional bris ceremony.  The even formalized Max’s middle name, Liron, which means “my song” or “my joy” in Hebrew, and culminated with the traditional circumcision.

The bris ceremony is one of the most important for Judaism practitioners and usually culminates in a party where friends and family can celebrte the child’s introduction to the religion. Although Christina was raised as a Catholic, she has been learning about Judaism since her 2005 marriage to Jordan.
