Oops: Maria Shriver Caught Talking on Cell-Phone

Probably not a good idea to violate the law your husband signed.

Well Maria Shriver seems to have done just this – multiple times. When Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger heard that his wife was caught on camera by TMZ for holding her cell phone while driving, he wrote on his twitter feed “Thank you for bringing her violations to my attention. There’s going to be swift action.”

Yikes, sounds very Terminator-esque…  But don’t be alarmed, the governor’s spokesperson, Aaron McLear said that the “swift action” means he’ll ask his wife to not do this again. (Like we were really worried!)

While Shriver hasn’t been cited for her transgressions, California Highway Patrol has issued over 150,000 citations since the July 2008 law requiring California drivers to use handsfree devices while using cell phones when driving.

Schwarzenegger warned that if his 16-year-old daughter ever violeated the law “she’ll be taking the bus.” Maybe he should have discussed this option with his wife.

How embarrassing!
