Actress Paz Vega and her husband Orson Salazar welcomed a baby girl into the world on Friday. Baby Ava was born by C-section in a Madrid, Spain hospital and weighed in at 7 lbs. 2 oz.
“Paz and Orson are both so excited about the new addition to their young family,” family representative Marcel Pariseau said.
Despite having a C-section, the 33-year-old actress who starred in Spanglish is already at home. “She was transverse in my womb, so they had to perform a c-section,” Vega told the Spanish press.
This is the second child for the couple, who also have a 2-year-old son named Orson. The new big brother reportedly has not had any jealousy issues. Vega said about her little boy, “He gets close to her … and says, ‘Ava, my baby!’”
The couple will stay in Madrid until September, at which time they will return to Los Angeles.
