Demi Moore's Take on Bringing up Hollywood Teens

As mother of three teenage daughters, Rumer, 19, Scout, 16, and Tallulah, 13, Demi Moore can’t help but feel a little nervous. She talked with V magazine about her oldest daughter Rumer’s recent Hollywood escapades, saying that seeing her out about is “a little bit scary.”

But Demi is realistic, and she knows she has brought her three girls up to have street smarts and convictions. Part of her parenting regimen? Keeping the kids out of Hollywood. The family formerly lived in Idaho, and Demi says, “I’m grateful for the grounding that being away from [Hollywood] gave them.” Now, that they are back, and the girls split time between Demi and Ashton’s house and their dad’s, actor Bruce Willis, Demi has had to reevaluate. “Can I say that I’ll look back and everything was the right choice?” she says. “I’m sure I won’t. But that’s part of understanding that none of us are perfect, and I’ve never been exactly in the place that I am right now.”

And in terms of her daughters’ new lives in Hollywood, Demi is still learning. She says, “It’s hard to say no to curious teenagers when exciting events or things are happening. You can’t live in a bubble. A key thing, and I’ve said this before, is to try to help your children be good decision makers.”
