Claudia Schiffer has to be a little more cautious than most moms when dropping her kids off at school. After all, the supermodel might be photographed while doing it.
But, rest assured, that doesn’t mean she’ll be wearing heels and a mini!
“You can’t be too over-dressed or too sexy on the school run. It’s about being practical and comfortable,” Claudia said in the June 2011 issue of Harper’s Bazaar UK.
The fashionista is even launching a luxe collection of knitwear later this year. “I’ve worked far too long in the fashion industry that I could just sell out. I always knew I wanted to do something that I would love myself, something to be proud of. I’ve had a lot of friends who said I was insane. But for me, it’s not just about the money,” she revealed.
Even with all her previous success in the fashion industry, Claudia is feeling some nerves about her new business venture. “It’s the first time I have put my name to something. I feel very confident, but also very nervous. Who knew? Maybe it will just be me, the only person in the whole world who likes it.”
But, no matter how busy the model/designer gets, she’s always got her priorities in check. Family comes first.
“I try to be at dinner with the kids. I want to put them to bed. I’m not one of those people who are addicted to their Blackberry. I put it away.”
