Matt Damon Says Brangelina Are Like Prisoners

Life isn’t always easy for celebrities. They’re chased, followed, and idolized for their fame when sometimes, they just want to be normal people! This is truly the case for Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie whose lives are always in the spotlight.

"I have friends who are like prisoners. Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie, for instance," pal Matt Damon told a German television station. "They can’t just go someplace. If they go for a walk, it turns into an international incident."

Damon counts his lucky stars that his wife and four daughters aren’t under the same media pressure the Pitt-Jolies are. "I’m really lucky, because I have the best of both worlds. I do the work that I love and need, but don’t need paramilitary troops to protect me when I walk out my front door."

Matt continues to explain why he thinks the media doesn’t follow him so diligently, “I don’t really know why, probably because I married a woman who isn’t an actress. And we live in New York. As long as we don’t show up in typical tourist spots, we can walk the streets without being noticed.”

Whatever it is, Damon and family can’t complain, ”New Yorkers are very cool, they don’t flip out if they see me."
