After 15 years of marriage, Marcia Gay Harden is splitting from husband Thaddaeus Scheel, a rep confirmed to PEOPLE.
“For the sake of the couple’s three children, Harden would like to request that the family’s privacy be respected at this time,” her rep said in a statement. “No further comments will be made on this matter, and we thank you for your understanding.”
The Oscar winning actress has two daughters and son with Scheel. The couple’s oldest daughter Eulala is 13 and twins Hudson and Julitta are 7.
Harden, 52, won a Best Supporting Actress Oscar in 2001 for her role in Pollock. She was also nominated for Best Supporting Actress in 2004 for Mystic River.
