Dick Van Dyke is a married man once again.
The 86-year-old actor wed his 40-year-old makeup artist, Arlene Silver. And the ceremony took place on a very special day – February 29th!
“Kinda on the spur of the moment, we just decided Leap Day would be the best time to do it,” he told RumorFix.com.
It’s the second marriage for Van Dyke, who has four children with his former wife Margie Willett. After their divorce, he lived with longtime girlfriend Michelle Triola for more than 30 years until her death in 2009.
The “Diagnosis Murder” star met his new bride six years ago at the SAG Awards. In his own words, he was “bowled over by her beauty” and hired her as his personal makeup artist.
As Arlene said in the interview, “He’s the happiest person I ever met. He’s got an infectious spirit.”
