Snooki’s Baby Name Revealed!
We’re one step closer to welcoming the newest “little meatball” into the world!
Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi is due to give birth to her first child this September, and it looks like she’s finally decided on a name for her baby boy.
The 24-year-old reality starlet had been vacillating between the names Jionni Junior (in honor of her fiance Jionni LaValle) and Lorenzo, but the latter officially won out. She made the announcement in an interview of the entire Jersey Shore cast.
Ok.. well technically, she didn’t actually announce it. Her fellow cast members mentioned the name without realizing that Snooki had not made it public yet. Oops!
Snooki then confirmed on camera that she and Jionni had indeed settled on the name Lorenzo. “Because then you can call him ‘Enzo,'” she told Good Morning America.
The name is a nod to the baby’s heritage – in more ways than one. While Jionni was born to an Italian-American family, Snooki was adopted from Chile at the ages of six months by Italian-American parents. We think the name is a beautiful way to honor her adopted family as well as her fiance’s roots.
While some may have doubts about her mothering skills – the once promiscuous and outlandish party-goer has quieted down significantly during her pregnancy and seems to be doing everything right in preparation for her baby.
What do you think about the baby name?
