Little Sister is changing every day. She loves to wear her brother’s shoes. She’ll kick hers off just to put his on. For her it is a much more fun way to walk! Her favorite song is Rock-a-bye Baby. She still loves to be cradled in our arms and gently rocked, and we adore watching her imitate this with her dolls.
Her stage of “No kiss!” has passed. For a while it took a lot of convincing to persuade her into sharing just one of her sweet kisses. To be honest I think she liked the attention she was getting from not giving affection. The Mommy and Daddy pouty faces must have been very amusing to her.
Now her willingness to give out kisses has come back in full force. Even when she talks to her Dad on the phone she makes sure to give the phone a kiss. It makes me smile huge every time. She walks around the house making cute puckering noises.
Whenever Big Brother falls down or gets hurt she runs right over to his side to make him better with first a hug, then a kiss. Her new favorite word to use all the time is “Welcome.”
When she gives me a kiss it is followed by an immediate “Welcome. Welcome Mommy. Welcome.” I think it is so cute! It makes me laugh. She doesn’t even wait for the thank you to come first. It’s welcome right away.
I think she is fully aware of just how special her kisses are. I treasure each and every one. Her sweet baby girl kisses makes me want to pause time and hold onto this moment forever. Whether I’m in this moment or the next, I know there is a lot more goodness to come…
Her sweet kisses, her gift of pure love, make this moment an unforgettable one.
