Rain is Good for Organization
Over the weekend the weather was a little bit rainy so we spent some extra time indoors. Although it was raining there was some good that came out of it. I started working on a few things I have been meaning to get to on the website.
First I worked on creating an Index page.
It is a work in progress, and I’m really not sure how long it is going to take (may be a while), but I think it will make it easier to find articles. So far I have Traveling Pat’s section completed, YAY! Now you can find all her great adventures in one place.
Also, the Food & Recipes section and links have been added. This section could use some more organization but first things first. I have A LOT more categories and links to put on this page.
Just think of it as a work in progress, like me! 😉
In addition, I have some exciting news of another thing I was working on. At least I think it is exciting, BUT I’m kind of a dork that way.
Give Love Create Happiness now has a facebook page!

If you’re on facebook it would be lovely to see you there! It’s another cool place to interact cause you know how much I ♥ you guys!! And THANK YOU to those of you who already joined up with me there! You guys rock!
Wow, that is a lot of explanation marks in one paragraph, but I mean them so…!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I also condensed tabs and moved the quotes page to the bottom of the More Love page. As I add new things I’m trying to prevent the tabs from taking over.
It is with great happiness I tell you over the weekend I was not the only one hard at work organizing. While my organizing was more on the computer, my handsome Hubby was organizing around the house. He even worked on my side of the closet for me! ♥♥♥
I can’t believe my clothes are actually hanging, and look there is even some space in-between the hangers!! This may be totally normal for you, but it’s not for me. Usually my clothes are all jammed together, and certainly not so neat.
I’m really working on getting rid of the excess in my life, especially in my home. My husband even made a small pile of ‘suggested’ giveaways, and verbally let me know of some things I have in good condition but that he does not have an affinity for. Very helpful because I doubt I’ll wear those now! Away they go.
This is another area that I am a huge work in progress, but honestly every little bit feels really good. Less stuff is really freeing. My husband is a great inspiration for me in this way. Another good influence is reading some organizational and simplifying based blogs. Who knew the power reading other blogs and sharing could have on your life? It’s pretty cool!
Speaking of simplifying and the enormous freedom that comes from it, my awesome friend Katie and her friend Kristin are doing a wardrobe challenge. I think it is a fabulous idea and I encourage you to partake. I would myself but I’ve already scaled back my cloths to mainly 2 pairs of peanut-butter covered pants. Check it out, you might really like it! It is a fantastic way of “practicing clothing minimalism and engaging in less consumerism”.
Well that’s all for today folks. Have a great one! J
Todays question of the day it not so much a question as it is a Spread the Love task:
Name one person that has influenced your life in a positive way and let them know!
If you want you could always share it here too, I’d love to know J
