After weeks of speculation, Chris Brown acknowledged that he has renewed his “friendship” with Rihanna – but word on the street is that they’re much more than friends.
The Daily News reported that “multiple witnesses” saw the two kissing at a club in New York city on Monday night
Then on Wednesday, they were spotted at Jay-Z’s concert at the Barclays Center, where Brown put his arm around the 24-year-old and “cuddled up.”
He still has two more years of probation to serve for his felony assault conviction for beating up then-girlfriend Rihanna on the night of the Grammys in 2009.
Brown, 23, has made several public apologies to her for the attack, which he seemed to blame on his youth. He was 19 at the time.
“I feel like that we’re young,” he told CNN’s Larry King days after his sentencing. “Nobody taught us a book on how to control our emotions or our anger. I’m not trying to fall on the fact that I’m young. I’m just saying it’s a lot of stuff that I wish I could have changed that night.”
Brown recently split from girlfriend Karrueche Tran and revealed that the split had something to do with his relationship with Rihanna.

“I have decided to be single to focus on my career. I love Karrueche very much but I don’t want to see her hurt over my friendship with Rihanna,” Brown tells HollywoodLife.com. “I’d rather be single allowing us to both be happy in our lives.”
While it’s true that people can change, it’s hard not to be a little nervous about Rihanna’s decision to rekindle a relationship with a man who hit her.
