Celebrity Mom Tattoo Shockers

January 11, 2013 by ModernMom Staff Leave a Comment

Some celebrity mommies are known for being inked up. Pamela Anderson, Pink and of course, Angelina Jolie are a few of the stars on this list. But others are much more unexpected. For instance, did you know that Caroline Kennedy has a small tattoo on her right forearm?

Here are four Hollywood mamas that you might be surprised to find out have gone under the needle:

Alyson Hannigan

When she played Buffy’s shy sidekick, she was rarely seen outside of the library, let alone in a tattoo parlor. But in real life, the actress has quite a collection of ink.

She has dolphins on her inside right ankle, a small turtle on her left foot and a Japanese kanji for luck and happiness on her back.

Melissa Gilbert

The woman famous for playing Laura Ingalls in Little House On The Prairie in the ’70s has one small tattoo, a daisy on her ankle.

Kathyrn Erbe

The Law & Order actress and mother of two has a heart with wings on her right shoulder.

Goldie Hawn

The actress was celebrating her 60th birthday when she got a small blue heart tattooed on her foot. She says, “It wasn’t a plan, we were all together on my birthday, we were in Tahiti and my older son said, ‘You know what would be really cool? Why don’t we all get a tattoo for Mom’s birthday?'”

Caroline Kennedy

According to PEOPLE: “While on a trip to Hong Kong in the ’80s, Caroline and cousin Kara Kennedy were challenged by male family members – John F. Kennedy Jr. and Teddy Kennedy Jr. – to get inked, the New York Post reports. Kennedy flashed the resulting butterfly tattoo, on the inside of her right forearm, at the 2008 Democratic National Convention in Denver.
