Weight Camps for Kids
For some kids, summer proves a tempting time to reshape themselves physically. If your child has packed on some pounds as he has grown, participation in a weight camp may be beneficial. Many camps around the country are designed to help your child not only modify what he looks like on the outside, but also to help him deal with the issues that got him to his current weight to begin with.
New Image Camps
New Image Camps operates two facilities within the New Jersey area. Each camp is situated on lakefront property and features amenities, such as workout rooms and a swimming pool. The camps are open to children from ages 7 to 19. Boy and girl campers are housed separately, but they work toward their weight-loss goals together. Each camp boasts a small camper-to-counselor ratio, ensuring individualized attention. The New Image Camp philosophy is to build self-esteem in campers while giving them the tools they need to get and stay fit. By focusing on the mental aspects of being overweight, these camps aim to not only change your child’s outside, but also to give him something that may make him view himself more positively in the future.
