Have an Empty Nest? Here’s How to Handle it!

The summer has come to an end. There are no more lazy days by the pool, no more BBQs at the park, no more sleeping in, and most importantly no more kids around. Now, us child rearing adults are faced with the fact that our kids are at school (maybe even away at college!), leaving us with an empty house and an uncomfortable void to fill. This is what the experts call empty nest syndrome. We can choose to dwell on this fact and sulk in our sorrows, or we can move forward and learn something new. Personally, I always choose to move forward. How do we move forward one may ask? Let me share with you some helpful coping mechanisms.

Convicted Rapist Working at Your Local Department Store: Is It Possible?

Tonight, our local news announced that a man who is a current employee of Kohl’s, in St. Louis, Missouri, had exposed himself to a 5 year old little girl; in the children’s department. If that’s not shocking enough, add in the element that this same man was convicted of raping a 7 year old, an 8 year old and a 9 year old; 20 years ago. I was literally irate when I read this. I went to the local news website and stated my opinion, submitted it to Digg & StumbleUpon; shared it on Facebook, Twitter and MySpace. I wanted people to know.
