I just found out that I am pregnant, can I continue to exercise?
Congratulations on your pregnancy! When it comes to working out while pregnant more often than not the answer is YES you CAN continue to exercise throughout your pregnancy. As long as you are having a normal pregnancy with no complications or risk factors than exercise is great for you and your baby. Be sure to see your doctor and get clearance before beginning any fitness routine. If it’s going to be a few weeks before you see your doctor take it easy to begin with. Go for walks, swim (if the season and weather permit) or try low impact aerobics. You can add in other activities once you have been cleared by your physician. Good luck and happy working out!
