The bright colors and engaging figures that traditionally fill carnivals make them popular with children. While you cannot necessarily take your preschooler to a carnival with the regularity he might like, you can always provide him with a carnival experience by setting up preschool-appropriate activities in which he can participate.

Halloween presents the perfect opportunity to do some themed crafts with your toddler. Little hands may not be ready for scissors yet, but parents can plan crafts that don’t require cutting or can do some of the cutting prep work. Whether you want to create a goody bag for trick-or-treating, a part of a costume, or just something scary to hang on the refrigerator, you’re sure to find some easy crafts.

In the colder winter months, have preschool activities lined up so that your children don’t get bored or go stir crazy from cabin fever. Since heading to the park or playing outdoors is contingent on the weather, it’s a good idea to have both outdoor and indoor activities planned for your preschooler. The best winter preschool activities will be age-appropriate and of interest to your child.
