5 Things To Know About The Future Mrs. George Clooney

April 28, 2014 by Madison Pados Leave a Comment

When the news broke that George Clooney was reportedly engaged, there was one question on everyone’s mind…

Who is the woman who seems to have finally tamed Hollywood’s most eligible bachelor?

Her name is Amal Alamuddin and the 36-year-old is much more than a pretty face.
She’s a renowned barrister (that’s British for lawyer) who specializes in international law and human rights.
Here are some more things to know about the Lebanese beauty who is slated to become the future Mrs. George Clooney:
1. She comes from a prestigious family. Alamuddin’s mother Baria is a prominent journalist who has been described as “Lebanon’s answer to Liz Taylor.”
2. She’s a smarty pants (and a hard worker). She won a scholarship to St Hugh’s College,
Oxford, where she achieved a 2:1 in Law before continuing on to study at the New
York University School of Law.
3. She’s a star in her own field. Not only has Alamuddin has served as an advisor to Kofi Annan, she’s represented several high-profile clients including WikiLeaks’ founder Julian Assange in his extradition proceedings with Sweden.
4. She is trilingual. In addition to English, the stunning brunette speaks fluent Arabic and French.
5. Her fiancé isn’t the only one who tops charts – in 2013, Alamuddin was voted into the number one spot on the list of London’s Hottest Barristers.
