5 Fabulous Fall Bags for Fashionable Moms

October 1, 2013 by Megan Sayers Leave a Comment

When I was in college, my roommate (who went on to become a buyer for Lucky Brand) had one fashion rule that’s stuck with me over the years:

“Don’t cheap out on shoes and handbags.”

Her point was that you should pay for quality when it comes to pieces that you’re going to use for years. Plus there’s the added bonus that a good pair of boots and a sleek  tote can make the most boring jeans and t-shirt outfit look elegant and pulled together.

So if you’re going to splurge on something this fall, here are some beautiful bags we absolutely love:

If you need an overnight bag….

The Memo Weekender from Deux Lux is a glam version of that old ratty duffel bag under your bed. It’s the perfect size for a quick trip and has an attachable messenger strap for easy travel. ($80, deuxlux.com)

If you  need a new wallet…

The Westward Wallet from Petunia is a gorgeous way to organize your credit cards and cash. The laser-cut leather is a subtle detail that provides little pops of color. ($199.00, petunia.com)

If you need a diaper bag…

The Sophia from Timi & Leslie is a trendy black and white diaper bag that helps new moms stay crazy organized. It has tons of dividers, compartments and zippered pouches to keep everything safe and dry. ($179.99, shoptimiandleslie.com)

If you need a tote bag…

The Mariella from Hobo is a great every-day bag that’s roomy and functional but still looks fab. ($238.00, hobobags.com)

If you need a backpack…

The Madeline from Lily Jade is the new “it bag” in the celebrity mommy-sphere.  It converts from shoulder bag to backpack and has a washable canvas inner bag with tons of handy pockets. ($435.00, lily-jade.com)
