“It seems embroidery is trending right now, because I am seeing it everywhere!
I was inspired by a cute hand towel at Anthropologie in this project. I am pregnant with my third child, so I decided to make a embroidered mommy tote as a little gift to myself.
This would be a great gift for a friend, but you’ve got to really like the recipient, because I must say, it’s a bit time consuming. It took me a rainy weekend to complete. Easy though! I’ve never embroidered anything before, and this turned out so cute! I can’t wait to show it off!”
Supplies
- A canvas tote bag or similar. Most craft stores sell a selection of these. I chose a messenger bag, because it has side pockets perfect for holding a bottle.
- Embroidery floss
- Embroidery needle
- Washable magic marker
- Scissors
