A Passover Perspective

Yesterday, I attended my sons grade one school Passover Seder. For those of you who dont know, a Seder is a Jewish ritual feast /meal that marks the beginning of Passover (our Easter, I guess you could say). Of course I was proud. Of course we were all there, with camera, and video camera, holding onto every word, every song with bated breath. And oh we were proud. The kids were over the top. Incredible.

So weve all heard of Sandra Bullocks motor-head husband Jesse James having some sexy times with a girl nicknamed Bombshell, while Ms. Bullock was off filming The Blind Side. I guess with this guy, when the cats away, the mouse will play. And what about Sam Mendez, husband to the beautiful Kate Winslet? Hes rumored to have also cheated. And we all know about the famous, Mr. Tiger Woods.

The Over OVER-Programming of our Kids

Its that time of year again. Springtime in the city. Time where as moms, we try to figure out how were going to fit in all our kids activities into one week. Its also time where my mommy friends take the phones and give me a ring to discuss, What are the boys doing this spring? Hockey? Ice hockey? Street Hockey? 3-on-3 hockey? Swimming private or in groups? Tennis outdoors or indoors? Soccer?

On Wanting More

Have you ever asked or prayed for something and promised yourself that if only you get through THIS, youll never ask for ANYTHING else again? I can recall only a few examples, but once I got through it, I prayed for something else. I did. If only I get myself out of this mess, Ill never want from anything else. Yah, whatever! That pot of gold always seems to be just around the corner, and once we get it, well never ask for anything else again. But truth is, we do ask.
