Forget the Dishes! I’m Taking Time Off

Listening to my body seems to be the first thing to go when life gets busy. Whether I’m tired or hungry, the signs gently creep in, and then stare me down. When I don’t listen, I always loose.

Ignoring my body’s signals means I am not operating at optimum in any area of my life. My happiness wanes, and I get cranky. Granting myself permission to take a break, to take time off, to simply not do anything is essential to my well being.

Every month there is a day or two that requires my letting go of all that needs to be done, so that I have room to simply be. Even half a day here and there can work wonders for your soul.

There is always more work to be done, and there always will be. Take time to unwind and enjoy life, or else what is it all for?
