Marie Callender Recalls Frozen Meals Due to Salmonella Outbreak

You better think twice about making Marie Callender's frozen meals tomorrow… ConAgra Food is recalling Marie Callender's brand cheesy chicken and rice frozen meals after they have been linked to salmonella breakouts. The CDC informed the company that their meals might be linked to 29 reports of illness with eight of those occuring betwenn April and May of 2010.

Regardless of production date, the company is recalling all meals labeled "Marie Callender's Cheesy Chicken and Rice White Meat Chicken and Broccoli over Rice Topped with Rich Cheddar Sauce."

Salmonella symptoms include diarrhea, stomach cramps and  fever. This can be life-threatening for people with weakened immune systems.
