During the wine club meeting, there is usually a featured wine that goes with the evening. There may be some food to go with the wine that illustrates what you can pair with it (double yummy), if you purchase it. Wine club membership gives you the opportunity to taste different wines and determine which are your favorites. This prevents you from buying wine in a store, only to get it home and discover you are not happy with the taste.
Socializing
In this busy world, you probably cannot remember the last time you did something simply for the pleasure of doing it. Being part of a wine club forces you to carve out some “me” time each week or month. Plus, if you join a club you get to meet new potential friends too! IT’s a great place to socialize and bond — you can also do it with a group of friends you already have. It’s a great way to catch up while learning something new.

Not just our kids benefit from learning — moms do too! When wine clubs hold their meetings, they usually include some educational tidbit about the wines, the wineries or the evening’s featured selection. You can take the information from the wine club meeting, go home and continue to educate yourself and your family about wine.

Wine club members often receive discounts on the purchase of wine because they can buy in bulk. There are wineries that set aside special bottles or offer special pricing for the wine purchased by wine club members — great thing to bring home as the hubby will be happy!
