Homemade Beauty Tips for Whitening Skin

Using professional methods to whiten your skin can cost more money than you are able or willing to spend, but having whiter skin may still be what you want. Several home-based methods may help you to meet your goal of whitening your skin. You can use household products and foods you probably already have in your house.

Orange Peel Method

Orange peel skin lightening uses the natural elements as a natural skin bleach. The method requires you to peel several oranges and put the peels in the sun until they completely dry. You then grind them into a powdery substance and add just enough milk to make the mixture into a paste. You need to apply the paste once a day to the area of skin you want to whiten and allow the paste to dry. Rinsing it off with warm water will leave your skin soft and lighter, according to the Beauty Tips website.

Potato Paste

The natural bleaching agents in potatoes make them a popular at-home bleaching agent. Typically, the juice of the potato is applied to the skin to reduce blemishes and whiten the skin’s pigmentation.

Almond Paste

If you want to make your skin glow as well as become whiter, you can use a paste made of almonds, honey and milk. To get the perfect paste, soak almonds overnight in a bowl of water. The next day, peel the almonds and mash them into a paste-like consistency. Add a small amount of honey to make it smooth and easy to apply. Apply it to the skin and let it dry before you wash it off. Your skin should be smooth, glowing and whiter.
