Recall – Toyota Recalling 1.53 Million Vehicles Worldwide

Not again! Toyota is recalling 1.53 million vehicles in the U.S. and Japan due to brake fluid and fuel pump problems. Toyota Motor Corp stated they will be recalling 740, 000 cars in the U.S. and 599,000 in Japan with the remainder from Europe and sprinkled around the rest of the world.

According to spokesman Paul Nolasco, the fix includes a problem with the brake master cylinder that can lead to weaker braking power. Some models in Japan have an electrical problem with the fuel pump. Luckily no accidents have been reported.

According to  Toyota, the models affected by the latest recall in the U.S. include the 2005 and 2006 Avalon, 2004 through 2006 non-hybrid Highlander and Lexus RX330, and 2006 Lexus GS300, IS250, and IS350 vehicles. Nolasco stated that Toyota will  notify owners around the world by mail to get their free repairs.

This recall comes after Toyota has recalled over 10 million vehicles due to a range of problems including faulty gas pedals sticking under floor mats to breaking issues and stalling engines.
