That’s right, the world’s most prominent mom, Michelle Obama, is getting ready to join the likes of Katy Perry and Tina Fey at Nickelodeon’s 23rd Annual Kids’ Choice Awards. Funny man Kevin James will host the child-geared show this Saturday.
Nickelodeon announced Thursday that Michelle will be honored for her “Let’s Move” campaign to reduce childhood obesity. Michelle has been working with Nick to advance the campaign. According to CNN, the network has donated $3 million dollars to related school programs.
We love that Michelle is advancing this cause. And who better to do it? Have you seen this woman’s amazing physique?
Marva Smalls, Executive Vice President of Nickelodeon/MTVN Kids and Family Group stated, “First Lady Michelle Obama has taken on one of this generation’s most pressing concerns: the health and wellness of our nation’s children.Her willingness to work hard, influence others and her dedication to improving the nation is inspiring, and we are proud to honor her for her commitment to empowering kids and families to address one of the most important issues of today.”
