Julianne Moore chatted to Jay Leno about her young son Cal. The 13 year old is “very into girls” she said.
Julianne took her son and some friends to a restaurant for his birthday. Julianne explains that she was a little puzzled when they said they were “trying their lines.” She said, ‘What do you mean your lines? Like come-on lines?” Her son responded, ‘No Mommy, pick-up lines.”
Apparently, they decided to try their luck on the “good natured waitress.” Everything started out great, Julianne recalled. “Hey, hey, do you know how much a polar bear weighs? Enough to break the ice! — the waitress’ heart was stolen! She’s like, ‘Awww, they’re so cute!’”
But then, things went south fast. Julianne recapped the story for the audience. “Then it’s like, ‘Do you work for UPS? Because I notice you’re checking out my package.’ And she was like, ‘Yuck! That’s disgusting!’ And then of course they follow it with, ‘You must work at Subway because you’re giving me a foot-long.’ So, at that point, she walks away and says, ‘You kids are gross!’”
Motherhood is always entertaining, to say the least.
Julianne also has a 7-year-old daughter, Liv Helen. Liv Helen is “still little enough where she mispronounces words. She can’t say breakfast, she says, Brehfest,” she shares.
I hope Liv doesn’t learn the art of pick-up lines anytime soon. Especially from her older bro!
