Jamie Lynn Spears moved out of Casey Aldridge’s home about six weeks ago. Aldridge is the father of 18-year-old Spears’ baby. Spears’ daughter, Maddie, is 19-months-old.
Where did she go from there? Spears moved out of the couple’s Liberty, Miss. home and back in with her mother says PEOPLE. A family friend of the Spears’ told PEOPLE, “She’s going through a lot of changes. It has been painful. She’s a young mother and struggling in a lot of areas.” There were rumors of marriage between the young parents, but a wedding never occured.
Another source told PEOPLE, “she did a lot of growing up but he didn’t. I think she put up with more than she cared to put up with. She just got enough of it and was tired of the situation.”
It is now reported that Spears has a new boyfriend. She has been dating Louisiana businessman James Watson, 28. The family friend commented, “he seems to be a nice guy.”
