Changing it up!

November 30, 2009 by Joanna Galli Leave a Comment

I tend to get bored quickly with my fitness routine, so that is why I’m always changing it up.  I recently purchased the Baboosh Body, which I’m really excited about!  I used it a few times already and believe me, you really break a sweat!  I am also incorporating the ModernMom youtube workout videos into my routine.  Brooke and Autumn have done a really good job with keeping the exercises basic and simple, yet very effective!  And the best part is that no equipment is needed and it can be done in your home.  Love that!  I also purchased a couple new workout dvds: One incorporates dance, yoga and pilates.  It’s a great workout that builds muscle and confidence.  The other is a combination of yoga and toning exercises.  I like the health benefits of yoga, but I’m not a yogi, so this is perfect.

I love talking about health and fitness.  I used to be a Certified Fitness Trainer through ISSA, so I have some knowledge on the topic.  My basic theory is this: move everyday, mix it up, and make it fun!  And when it comes to nutrition, everything in moderation.  I believe that if the foundation of a diet consists of whole grains, fresh fruits and vegetables, low-fat dairy, lean proteins, and healthy fats, then there is room for little splurges here and there.  Balance your diet like a bank account and watch portions.  Also make sure most of the food eaten is whole food, and not processed.  It’s about being healthy.  More on fitness, health, and nutrition to come!
