The hunky NCIS: Los Angeles star, Chris O’Donnell, sat down with Michigan Avenue Magazine to share a little about his life as an actor and parent.
O’Donnell is a father of five (Lily, 10; Chip, 9; Charlie, 6; Finn, 3; Maeve, 2) and devoted family man. He has been married to his college sweetheart, Caroline Fentress, for almost 14 years. We do not know much more about him though. He does a great job of keeping his personal and family life very private. He is just not into the Hollywood scene. “You see the reality shows like The Hills and the lives of the Kardashians, and I guess it’s a sexy lifestyle if you’re into it, but it’s not my cup of tea,” he says.
O’Donnell shared on Sunday that he “always wanted five children, but when we got to four I was like, OK, we’re done.” He continued to say, “five was the only time we were ever surprised. All along the way we were strategic about what we were doing and, then, uh, a little miscommunication there. But we’ve got five and we couldn’t be happier because Maeve is such a cute little girl.”
O’Donnell shared that while he lives in Los Angeles, he loves to go to Chicago to visit his brother and sister. He said that one of his favorite things to do is to “visit ‘touristy’ attractions with his kids, like last summer’s outing to the Taste of Chicago.”
