Modern Family’s Julie Bowen recalls how easy it was to become a parent.
“It was harder to get my driver’s license than to get pregnant and give birth,” the actress, 41, tells PARADE.
But, while it was fairly simple to actually become a parent, the hard parts came later on!
“I’m managing to keep up with three boys pretty well, but the 3-year-old is starting to be obsessed with his man parts, and that’s a revelation.”
Luckily, Julie can relate to her three boys — Oliver, 3½, and twins John and Gus, 17 months,– saying, “People always tell me I have a lot of guy energy. I’m less comfortable in stilettos than I am in running shoes,”
Still, it’s been a few years and Julie’s still in shock sometimes at being called mom. “I’m still in shock every time my 3-year-old goes, ‘MOM!’ I’m like, ‘ME?!’”
