Man Arrested After Breaking Into Celine Dion’s Home

A 36-year-old man broke into Celine Dion’s home on the Mille Iles River on Monday …. in order to take a bath?

Daniel Bedard was about to step into the bathtub when police officers showed up at the Montreal residence with a canine unit, according to AP.

The authorities, who were tipped off by the alarm system, think that Bedard entered the house through the garage after climbing a fence surrounding the property. A garage door opener was found in an unlocked vehicle nearby.

The singer, her children and her husband, Rene Angelil, were not home at the time of the incident.

When Bedard was apprehended, ““he said to the officers ‘What are you doing here?’ and they asked him the same thing back,” said Laval police spokesperson Nathalie Laurin told the Montreal Gazette.

He appears to have helped himself to some pastry, leaving snack wrappers on the counter and flicking his cigarettes on the floor.

“This whole thing, well it’s special,” Laurin said.
