Meet The Newest Member Of The Modern Family

When viewers tuned into the season premiere of ABC’s “Modern Family,” they might have noticed a new face in the familiar cast.

Four-year-old actress Aubrey Anderson-Emmons has replaced Jaden and Ella Hiller, the identical twin girls who played Cam and Mitchell’s adopted daughter Lily in the first two seasons.

So what’s the reason behind the change? The twins’ mother, Michelle Hiller, told PEOPLE that the girls just wanted to be kids:

“Ella and Jaden are enjoying new toddler adventures in swimming, dance, gymnastics, and rock climbing,” she said. “They are happy with the freedom of being 3 [years old]!”

Audiences will heard Lily talk to her family for the first time, as Anderson-Emmons has a speaking part in the show. “She’s adorable and fans are really going to like her,” said a show rep.

The hit show, which started back up on Wednesday night, won four Emmy awards this year, including best comedy and matching best supporting actor and actress for co-stars Julie Bowen and Ty Burrell.

We just can’t wait to see what this little cutie pie has in store this season!
