January 30, 2012 by ModernMom Staff Leave a Comment

The honorees have been announced for the 14th Annual Costume Designers Guild Awards with presenting sponsor Lacoste, which will be hosted by Glee’s Jane Lynch on February 21 in Los Angeles.

Among those who will receive honorary awards: Kate Beckinsale, Clint Eastwood and Deborah Hopper, Lou Eyrich and Marlene Stewart.

Here’s a rundown of the honorees:

Kate Beckinsale will receive the Lacoste Spotlight Award, which honors an actor, whose talent and career personifies an enduring commitment to excellence. From independent films and television projects like Much Ado About Nothing, Emma and Cold Comfort Farm to action roles in Van Helsing and the Underworld franchise, Beckinsale has proven her versatility. What’s up next for the actress? An appearance in the sci-fi action remake Total Recall due for release this summer.

Costume designer Marlene Stewart will be recognized with the Disaronno Career Achievement in Film Award for her work over the years. Stewart designed costumes for several of Madonna’s music videos including Vogue and Material Girl as well as for feature films like the upcoming Hansel and Gretel: Witch Hunters.

Lou Eyrich will be honored with this year’s Career Achievement in Television award. She has spent over 20 years in the industry, designing projects such as Running with Scissors, Popular and FX’s Nip/Tuck. She also received the Costume Designers Guild Award for Outstanding Contemporary TV Series for her work on FOX’s hit show Glee in 2010 and 2011.

And finally, the Distinguished Collaborator Award will be presented to costume designer Deborah Hopper and four-time Oscar winner Clint Eastwood, who have collaborated on more than 16 films over the last two decades. These include Flags of Our Fathers, Letters from Iwo Jima, Mystic River, Million Dollar Baby, Changeling, Gran Torino, Invictus and most recently, J. Edgar.
