The former Disney teen queen is a mom for the first time! Hilary Duff and husband Mike Comrie welcomed a son on Tuesday, March 20.
Duff announced the news via Twitter, writing – “Welcome to the World Luca Cruz Comrie! Tuesday evening, we became proud parents of a healthy 7 pound 6 ounce beautiful boy.”
“We are overjoyed and feel like the luckiest parents in the world,” she added.
The 24-year-old, best known as the star of “Lizzie McGuire,” married Comrie, a retired hockey player, back in August 2010.
Fun story:
I am a die-hard Hilary Duff fan (not kidding, I had a Lizzie McGuire poster in my first dorm room) and I ran into her shopping in Venice back in December. And by “ran into,” I mean that I hyperventilated and furtively whispered “OMG, that’s Hilary Duff!” to my boyfriend.
She was super adorable. And despite the fact that she was very pregnant, she even held the door for me, ensuring my life-long love and adoration.
Needless to say, I am Team Hilary.
