Cynthia Nixon Marries Longtime Girlfriend Christine Marinoni

It’s official! After nearly eight years together, Cynthia Nixon and her longtime partner Christine Marinoni have tied the knot.

“On May 27, 2012, Cynthia Nixon and her girlfriend, Christine Marinoni, were legally married in the state of New York,” her rep told People in a statement.

Nixon wore a flowing green gown by Carolina Herrara and carried a bouquet of white peonies. Marinoni wore a suit paired with a green tie.

While they got engaged three years ago, the “Sex and the City” star and her education activist fiancee waited to say their “I do’s” until same-sex marriage was legal in New York state, which happened last summer.

“I’m enjoying being engaged very much,” Nixon, 46, said in a previous interview. “I don’t mind a long engagement, which this one is surely turning out to be.”

The couple has one child together, a son named Max Ellington Nixon-Marinoni, who Marinoni gave birth to in February 2011. Nixon also has two children – daughter Samantha and son Charles Ezekiel – with her former lover, photographer Danny Mozes.
