Antonio Sabato Jr.’s Intimate Island Wedding
Wedding bells tolled in Hawaii for Antonio Sabato, Jr. and his new bride, Cheryl Moana Marie.
The couple exchanged their vows in a sunset ceremony on the island of Kauai, at the romantic and private Anini Beach estate overlooking the ocean waves.
The intimate ceremony was attended by only 18 of their closest friends and family.
“Her family was here and my family was here … it was just wonderful,” Sabato told People. “It was a beautiful, small gathering. But in so many ways it was bigger than life.”
Marie, 41, and Sabato, 40, met three years ago in Los Angeles after he finished filming “My Antonio.” The reality show was supposed to help him find the love of his life, but it wasn’t until after the show was over that he did.
The show filmed in Hawaii, which is where Marie is from. When they announced their relationship, Sabato said, “It’s kind of ironic that I went to Hawaii to look for someone, and then I found someone who’s from Hawaii.”
(The new Mr. and Mrs. Sabato)
The former Miss Kauai America and the soap star have one child together, a son named Antonio Kamakanaalohamaikalani Harvey Sabato III who was born in May 2011. His middle name means “a beloved gift from the heavens.”
It was the first trip down the aisle for Marie, and the second for Sabato, who also has two children from previous relationships.
Congratulations to these newlyweds!
