Peaches Geldof gave birth to her second child on Wednesday – a little boy named Phaedra.
The socialite and former television host delivered the baby via Caesarean section on April 24th, which would have been the 54th birthday of her late mother, Paula Yates.
Geldof’s husband Tom Cohen (singer in the band S.C.U.M.) was present for the birth. “Tom and I are completely overjoyed to welcome Phaedra into the world,” she told Hello magazine.
The couple, who got married last year, are also parents to son Astala, 1.
The 24-year-old is the daughter of British rocker and Live Aid organizer Sir Bob Geldof. Her mother died from a drug overdose in 2000 when Geldof was just 11.
Sources say she is thrilled by the significance of her baby’s birthday. “They are particularly pleased about the significance of the date as it makes Peaches feel she is keeping her mum’s memory alive.”
