It looks like Halle Berry’s daughter Nahla is going to get a baby brother!
Berry’s fiancee Olivier Martinez, confirmed Wednesday that the couple was expecting a little boy.
“My son will be an American, but I remain French,” he told PEOPLE.
The 47-year-old actor spilled the beans at the opening night of the Champs-Elysées Film Festival while joking with reporters.
Berry, 46, and Martinez began dating in 2010 after working costarring in the thriller Dark Tide. They became engaged about a year and a half ago.
The baby will be the first for Martinez and the second for Berry (Nahla, 5, is her daughter with ex Gabriel Autry).
How does the big sister-to-be feel about the new addition to the family? Well, on the Wendy Williams show last fall, the actress admitted that Nahla wanted a younger sibling:
“Every night we pray to God, and she’s so sweet. She says, ‘God, please bring me a bunk bed and a baby sister.’ And I say, ‘I can do one of those things, I know for sure! The other one we have to keep praying on.’ What do you say to her when she wants that and can’t understand why God’s taking so long, you know?”
Now that she’s getting a baby brother, all Nahla needs is bunk beds!.
