The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission announced Tuesday that Petzl America has recalled roughly 375,000 Scorpio and Absorbica Shock Absorbing Lanyards. These lanyards pose a falling hazard to all users, as there is a missing safety stitch on the attachment loop.
Photon Climbing Carabiners and Quickdraws Recalled
The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission is recalling about 15,500 Photon carabiners and Photon and Mach Express quickdraws distributed by CAMP USA Inc., of Broomfield, Colo. The carabiner gate may open under a heavy load, posing a risk of serious injury or death if the climber falls. No injuries have been reported.
