Girly Tech Gifts For Tweens & Teens

November 28, 2011 by Megan Sayers Leave a Comment

Think that tech toys are only for boys? Think again, and think pink! This holiday season, there are tons of great girly gadgets that make the perfect gifts for tweens and teens.

Kolobags

Fashion meets technology with these trendy laptop bags and sleeves from Kolobags. With hundreds of different options, as well as a special “designer sleeves” line, there’s plenty of choices that will appeal to even the most style-savvy.

We especially like the Isis polka dot laptop sleeve. Made with water repellent neoprene, it’s stain resistant and durable plus it looks super cute while protecting your gear. Price: $20.00

chicBuds

chicBuds makes a range of fashionable and fun music listening devices that, in the words of founder Nikki Carlson, “combine fashion and function.”

Their newest product – the Fauvette – is a portable 3-inch speaker with up to four hours of battery life that can plug into iPods, iPhones, computers and anything with a standard audio jack.

With a name that means “a small singing bird,” the Fauvette can also connect to smartphones for hands-free conversations while driving.

The company also makes a line of bejeweled earbuds and chicBoom keychain speakers – available in pink or blue with leopard print and sparking crystal accents in the shape of a heart. Price: $29.99 – $34.99

Bling My Thing

Started in 2005, Bling My Thing creates iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch cases (as well as some Android accessories) decorated with Swarovski crystals.

The company is headed up by Japanese designer Ayano Kimura, who according to the company’s blog, is “fulfilling [her] duty to make the world the more sparkly place.”

The SPLASH! line of cases feature vibrant paint splatter patterns (in contrasting color pairings like hot pink and turquoise or black and neon yellow) with crystal accents.

Bling My Thing also does custom pieces, adding a little sparkle to anything from shoes and clothes to vacuum cleaners and workout machines. One rep had even received a request to bedazzle an adult toy. However, they draw the line at live animals – she said they would not bedazzle a hermit crab.

Toddy Smart Cloth

Say goodbye to smudges and stains on your smartphone with these adorable cleaning cloths, designed with durable, plush microfiber on one side and uber-trendy patterned silk microfiber on the other.

The Toddy cloths are protected with AEGIS Microbe Shield® technology to safely remove dirt and germs. Available in two sizes (5″ x 7″ for smart phones, iPods and handheld gaming devices, 9″ x 9″ for iPads, Kindles and monitor screens), the company offers 36 fresh and fun designs.

The Miss Behave line is perfect for tweens and teens, with patterns like I See Diamonds and Power to the Pink. Price: $9.99 or $19.99 for 3

Hard Candy Cases

With a line of high fashion and high end Apple product accessories, Hard Candy Cases makes covers for the iPhone, iPad, iPod touch and the Macbook that are sold online and in major electronics stores like Best Buy.

They have a signature bubble pattern and they also use soft touch paint that looks as good as it feels. Our favorite? The pink Bubble Shell case for the Macbook Pro! Price: $34.95 – $49.95
