Our Connection

May 18, 2011 by Wendy Irene Leave a Comment

One of the most powerful forces that is not seen by the naked eye, but felt by the heart, is our connection. Our connection to everything and everyone. When you love, you feel that connection. Love triumphs when you feel connected to others and the planet.

The next time you garden feel the connection to the plants, and their connection to you. You don’t have to see it to know the connection exists. It merely takes an open heart and a willingness to connect. We thrive as people when we allow this connection to be pure.

When you have conflict with someone in your life, resist replaying all the frustrating things in your head, trying to make yourself right in your mind. I’m as guilty of it as anyone. What I know now is that a much more useful and productive way to spend your energy is to meditate and feel your connection to that person. Their life as valuable as your own. Feel love from your heart traveling to them. I personally believe this energy is felt whether we are conscious of it or not. It is much more beneficial to both people, despite the conflict, that this loving energy is felt instead of negativity.

We are the master of our own mind. Being responsible for that is not always the easy choice. Once you make the choice to be responsible for your own thoughts and treat our connections with love and respect, a new world opens up. One in which you love being a part of!

As often as you can, feel connected to everything around you. Treat everything with kindness. Our planet included. It gives so much to us and asks nothing in return. It is a powerful lesson we should not ignore.

“You often say, “I would give, but only to the deserving.” The trees in your orchard say not so, nor the flocks in your pastures. They give that they may live, for to withhold is to perish.” ~Kahlil Gibran

Thank you for connecting with me here, friends! ?
