Leah Remini Dishes on Auditioning for Godmother Duty

Jennifer Lopez‘s best pal, actress Leah Remini, mom to Sofie, 3, is vying for one of the most wanted parts in Hollywood – godmother to the singer and hubby Marc Anthony‘s soon-to-be born twins.

Leah, 36, and her husband, actor Angelo Pagan have a close relationship with J. Lo and Mark. “We’re asking for an audition for godparent roles,” Leah, joked to People magazine. “Um … so, we’re waiting to hear back.”

How does one audition for the role of a lifetime? The “King of Queens” actress says she and Angelo, “need like a day – because we’re not good at cold-reading – so that we can just prepare.” Angelo added that he is, “Not sure whether it entails that we have to sing, dance, recite a monologue, but we’re ready!”

When asked how Lopez is doing now, Leah added, “Great! She’s great! I mean, look, she was on tour. She’s a strong girl.”
