Ok, this DVD is absolutely precious. Who could resist the sweet faces of the adorable turtle, ducky, and guinea pig that star in Wonder Pets! The First Rescue!, which is actually a little over an hour and a half long?!
Here’s the premise: a brood of cute preschool animals journey to far-away places with tour guides Linny the Guinea Pig, Turtle Tuck, and Ming-Ming Duckling. Each episode has great music — seriously, they are super catchy and I was humming the tunes for the rest of the day after my kids watched it. The songs were written by award winners (I’m talking Tony and Grammy winners here!) and performed by a live orchestra.
The starlets are classroom pets who convene after school to overcome obstacles and save the day. Wonder Pets! The First Rescue! gives you added features — how did the Wonder Pets! meet? What was their first rescue like? Watch these cute add-ins and find out. It also includes two new episodes, “Happy Mother’s Day!” and “Save the Sun Bear!”
If you have little ones, this DVD is definitely worth the 15 bucks. The adorable animals will enchant them, and I wouldn’t be opposed to taking an hour and a half break to watch it with my kids either. 🙂
