Brad and Angelina Bring Their Philanthropy Home

Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt, along with Pitt’s family donated $1 million to St. John’s Hospital in Missouri.

The contribution was announced by Brad’s brother, Doug, in his hometown of Springfield. The cancer treatment unit will be renamed the Jane Pitt Pediatric Cancer Center, in honor of Brad’s mom, who is an advocate for children’s issues. According to the Springfield News-Leader, the money will help pay for children’s cancer specialists.

St. John’s Hospital will match the donation to help fund a new pediatric unit, a 10-bedroom hospital-based Ronald McDonald house.
