The 23-year-old actress announced over the weekend that she and husband Mike Comrie are expecting their first child.
“I can’t believe it has already been a year, time really flies when you’re having fun!” Duff wrote on her website. “We also want to share the exciting news that…BABY MAKES THREE!”
The couple, who started dating in 2007, celebrated their first wedding anniversary on Sunday.
Duff originally rose to fame as the star of the hit Disney series, Lizzie McGuire. Since then, she’s had a recurring role on Gossip Girl and her films include “Raise Your Voice,” “A Cinderella Story, (with Chad Michael Murray), and “Cheaper By THe Dozen,” starring Steve Martin. Duff also has a sucessful music career, with her self–titled album “Hilary Duff” selling nearly than 2 million copies to date.
And what about the daddy-to-be? Comrie is a professional hockey player who currently plays for the Pittsburgh Penguins. The sports star has previously played for the Philadelphia Fluers, the Ottawa Senators and the New York Islanders.
