The Tricky Gift of Fitness

December 9, 2009 by Kristin_Anderson Leave a Comment

Around this time of year I start getting gift certificate requests for my clients to give to their friends and/or family as a holiday gift… as well as people asking what kind of exercise equipment might make a great gift.

Unless you are 100% sure the person wants it, or he/she specifically asks for it The Gift of Fitness aka- fitness equipment, a gym membership, pilates or training sessions, etc… is often an unwanted surprise gift.

Now, you certainly have the best intentions here.

However, health, fitness, and weight loss is extremely personal, can be loaded with baggage, and is generally complicated for each of us- even me.

The best recipient of your Gift of Fitness just might be you! And it should be YOU. The gift of fitness is the best way to start the New Year. Not only will you be in better shape, feel and look better but you will be restoring balance to yourself from all of the output of the holiday season.

This season, give yourself The Gift of Fitness and/or maybe someone who specifically asked for it.

I think I am going to give myself the gift of some new workout clothes :o)

Happy Holidays!!

About Kristin_Anderson

By practicing a wide range of off-ice training methods including ballet, pilates and track & field, former professional figure skater Kristin Anderson discovered that performing a diverse training regime leads to a more well-rounded athlete. She used her mixed method approach in her San Francisco and Los Angeles pilates studios, her M-TRAIN fitness app for the iPhone and iPod touch, and has carried her training philosophy over to her fitness company, My Daily Trainer. Losing and maintaining weight is as easy as 1,2,3 with Kristin's website www.mydailytrainer.com where you will find workouts, meal plans, a progress tracker and a lot of help from Kristin herself.
