Linda Cardellini is pregnant!

The 36-year-old actress, known for her role on the beloved (but short-lived) series “Freaks and Geeks,” is expecting her first child with boyfriend Steven Rodriguez. The baby is due in early 2012.

“They’re excited to start a family together,” a rep told PEOPLE.

Besides her role as Lindsay Weir, Cardellini was also on “ER” and played Velma in the Scooby-Doo movies. She’s currently promoting her new film, “Return,” which premiered at the Cannes film festival this year.
